CHALLENGE

Learn Solidworks from scratch using tutorials and prior CAD knowledge.

Process

Used online tutorials, drawings, and databases to replicate the plane as close as possible. Reapplying previous Autodesk Inventor experience to Solidworks.

A380 Model

At first, I used online tutorials to develop the fundamentals, such as projecting curves, pierce-lofting, etc. Then I modeled and assembled the plane using only drawings provided online.

Attempted to recreate engine cross-section, and modeled turbine blades using patents and references.

Equipped with moving empennage and elevator fins. Turbine also rotates.
